This year’s Academy-Award winner for Best Foreign Film, “The Counterfeiters,” will be shown Thursday, May 15, at 7:30 p.m., at Spring House in the Magnolia Room. “The Counterfeiters,” inspired by true events, is the story of the Sachsenhausen concentration camp during World War II, where prisoners with skills ranging from finance to forgery are put to work for a master counterfeiter in an attempt to manufacture replicas of foreign bank notes.
