The student recreation department and ISSO are sponsoring a rafting trip on the Ocoee River in Tennessee. Buses depart at 10 a.m. July 10 from Cafe SCAD and Habersham Hall in Savannah. The group will arrive at SCAD-Atlanta for an overnight stay. On July 11, 8 a.m., the group will depart SCAD-Atlanta for the Ocoee River. Whitewater rafting will take place around 11 a.m. Upon completion of the 2.5-hour rafting trip, the group will return to SCAD-Atlanta for a second night’s stay. The $45 trip cost includes round-trip transportation, lodging, rafting fees and a picnic lunch July 11. All other meals and incidentals will be incurred by the students. There is a limit of 15 participants. Students can sign up by e-mailing recreation@scad.edu or calling 912.525.7304. Refunds will be permitted only if respective slots are filled.
