Fashionistas in Atlanta got a taste of New York’s Fashion Week during Fashion’s Night Out on Friday, September 10. Fashion’s Night Out is a global initiative, spearheaded by Vogue magazine, to get consumers back in stores and shopping. Think of it as a chic economic stimulus. In Atlanta, some retailers in Lenox Mall and Phipps Plaza took part in the festivities by hiring models to strut in the latest fall fashions. SCAD Atlanta students and alumni participated in the event by giving guests fashion make-overs and personalized photo shoots. Original designs by students of the School of Fashion were also on display.
