97 Estoria is a hipster dive on the corner of Wylie and Estoria in Cabbagetown,a little nook of a neighborhood in Atlanta. Walking in you’re reminded of the happy, wild and pathetic characters everyone meets in a lifetime. First greeted with a smaller bar that overlooks a patio, and then through an entryway, the bar-slash-restaurant opens up to stools, couches, booths and tables with the bar and kitchen to the right.
Tucked in the corner, is a touchscreen counter-top bar game. It’s the kind with the erotic section
that always includes a strip tease. The bright oasis of light calls to the dimly lit, dark half of the bar with the promise of entertainment and if you want, bare-breasted women. It’s a reminder that sex always sells to someone.
