CLC Project: Professor Lisa Babb
Students from motion media, sculpture, illustration, graphic design, sequential art and advertising departments have partnered together with Professors Mark Wentzel, Lisa Babb, and four CDC scientists to explore the boundless consequences of the modern food system. Through in-depth interfacing with top researchers in areas of Food, Nutrition, Physical Fitness and Obesity, the students have confronted the challenges facing scientists and advocacy groups in visually interpreting seemingly un-winnable battles of obesity and nutrition. What has emerged is an honest look at individual efficacy, the essential role of the creative mind, and the willingness of each person to engage in collective action.”

Students will be showing digital magazines for the iPad, as well as printed magazines. Eric Caposella, Design Director of Atlanta Magazine will join us as a guest critic.

3D Graphics Studio: Professor Chung Yoo and Jan Lorenc
Students were given a 40 feet by 60 feet of floor space in a typography Trade Show.
Each student is to design a booth of their own choice of font style.
The primary goal is to promote and market their selected font to graphic design and publishing industries.
The booth must have “wow” factors to attract, educate and market their product to visitors.
