As the “Manipulated” photography exhibition is taken down and sent off to its next gallery stint at the Savannah campus, Gallery See makes space for a new display. A complete rebound from the transformed photography of “Manipulated,” Gallery See will house the rope sculpture exhibition, “Undertone,” by sculptural artist Orly Genger.

Genger is most famous for painting hand-knotted rope in large-scale environmental sculptures. The most recent, “Red, Yellow and Blue,” debuted in New York’s Madison Square Park in 2013. There, huge river-like bodies of brightly painted nautical rope splashed across the garden in waves and walls, fascinating passerby. Two of her chain sculptures will be on display in Gallery See, along with a collection of drawings and cast wall sculptures.

The exhibition will be here from Jan. 24 – March 23. There will be a reception on Feb. 18 from 7-8 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
