How does a lip gloss that’s non-sticky, comes in an assorted variety of colors and has a built-in mirror and light sound? It sounds fantastic and a little bit futuristic, right? Well, beauty line Gerard Cosmetics decided to bring these phenomenal lip glosses to the present. Known as the Color Your Smile Lighted Lip Gloss, these bad boys have been receiving rave reviews. On top of all their other great features they’re super pigmented and could be worn by themselves or you could put them on top of your lipstick for an added pop. The glosses each cost $24 on the company’s site which might be a little pricey for some people, but I have the answer. There is a permanent bundle on the site that lets you get 3 for $45, but, if you’re willing to wait, every now and then the company’s Instagram page advertises a coupon code that gets 3 for $27 or 5 for $40. All in all, you can find a deal on these lip glosses or you can decide to treat yourself.

Now facts aside I own four of the glosses myself. Nude (one of their best selling), Fiji, Salmon and Candy Apple. So I’ve put together a little rundown of each color with a photo of how it looks.

Nude

Nude is a pink with brown undertones. It’s more of a nude for lighter skin tones but a pretty color none the less. This gloss is perfect for any season. It’s colorful enough for spring and summer but at the same time it’s muted enough for fall and winter. It’s one of my go to lip colors and hands down one of my holy grail products.

Fiji

Fiji is just as bright as the country. It’s a gorgeous Barbie pink that looks great on all skin tones. I actually like to wear this color alone with a bit of lip liner because it’s opaque enough to stand by itself.

Salmon

Salmon is a bit tricky. It’s actually a gorgeous toned down orange, but on my darker skin it looks a bit like coral. In fact it’s almost completely clear on my lips and requires a few coats before I can get the faintest hint of color.  Still I hold no hate for it. I wear it whenever I go more natural with my makeup and it gives a nice shimmer to my lips.

Candy Apple

Candy Apple red — there is no other way to describe this gloss. It’s dramatic, eye catching and gives a different look to the usual matte red lip. The high gloss of the product gives a wonderful effect and can make anyone feel like a supermodel.

Between the non-sticky formula, the color choices, the pigmentation, and the built-in mirror and light it’s safe to say Gerard Cosmetics lip glosses are a definite love-it. Every girl needs at least one of these in their makeup arsenal, so head on over to the site and pick a color. As the lip gloss states, color your smile!
