The Connector
The Connector

Introducing Zachary Black, fourth year photography major. His photo essay will shine the light on illegal dirt biking in rural sections of Jamaica and the opportunity he had this summer to capture one of the best bikers of Jamaica.

If you or a friend have a cool story to share, please email Acquille Dunkley at photo@scadconnector.com.

This summer I returned to my lovely island of Jamaica. While home, I was able to be a part of the upcoming takeover of illegal dirt bikes and ATV’s in Jamaica. I documented one of the top skilled dirt bike riders in Jamaica, Jeremy Mahfood. He is only 15 years-old and with his weapon of choice — a Honda CRF450X, I was allowed to capture footage of him performing bizarre stunts.

We ventured to an undisclosed location only known as “Wheelie Hill” which is in a very high- class residential area. After a long day of school, Jeremy likes to hop on his bike and ride off the stress. He is one of the top and youngest stunt dirt bike riders in Jamaica.

Below are exclusive footage I was able to capture during my documentary.
