A Conversation with Christene Barberich
Join Christene Barberich, editor-in-chief and founding partner of Refinery29, and Michael Fink, SCAD dean of fashion, for an exclusive conversation about the power and influence of social media on the fashion industry on Wednesday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. Prior to launching Refinery29 in 2005, Barberich held roles at Gourmet magazine, The Daily and The New Yorker magazine. She is also author of The New York Times best-selling fashion how-to book, “Style Stalking.”

‘Once Upon a Time’ at the annual Masquerade Ball
Join Student Activities Council for a night of dancing, games and Halloween fun on Thursday, Oct. 29 from 8-10 p.m. in the Spring House Magnolia Room. This year’s theme is “Once Upon a Time.” Enter the costume contest for a chance to win exciting prizes. This event is free and open to all SCAD students with valid ID.

Ivy Hall Writers Series presents Thomas Lake
Attend the Ivy Hall Writers Series for a talk with Thomas Lake, an award-winning literary journalist and enterprise writer for CNN Politics, on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 6:30 p.m. at Ivy Hall.

Previously, Lake was a senior writer for Sports Illustrated and a senior editor for Atlanta Magazine. His work has been anthologized in “Best American Sports Writing.”
