Finals. I know it’s something we don’t want to think about, but don’t worry. SCAD Connector would like to take this opportunity to let SCAD Atlanta students know that the ACA Library will be providing some furry friends at the end of the quarter.

Therapy animals will be returning to the library on Tuesday, Nov. 10 from 1-3 p.m. SCAD will be featuring not just dogs, but cats and bunnies for SCAD students to snuggle up to. Last year, “Paws in the Library: Therapy Animal” featured a golden retriever amongst other pets who performed tricks.

Studies show that petting an animal relieves tension for both the person and the animal. According to PawsforPeople.org, pet therapy also lowers blood pressure, improves cardiovascular health, increases socialization and encourages communication. Plus, we all need a friend who doesn’t talk back and can sympathize with our problems.

The SCAD Atlanta library provides several resources for students. For more information check out SCAD Libraries online.
