From today until Feb. 19, SCAD will host the seventh annual deFINE ART exhibition, which will feature many lectures, performances and other events surrounding the world of fine art. deFINE ART 2016 takes places at three of SCAD’s locations: Hong Kong, Savannah and Atlanta. The entire four-day event will be free to attend.
Here in Atlanta, SCAD is proud to showcase: the works of French dance company Beau Geste, performing “Exceptional Transport: duet for a dancer and an excavator,” today at Peachtree Christian Church at 5 p.m.; “Squash and Stretch,” SCAD painting alum Lauren Clay’s paper art exhibition tomorrow, Feb. 16, at Trois Gallery at 6 p.m.; and “A Kind of Confession,” an exhibition of the paintings of Jeffrey Gibson, today at Gallery 1600 at 6 p.m.
