The Digital Media Center (DMC) welcomed a food truck through SCAD’s food service, Bon Appétit, May 3 and May 10. The food truck marks a new development in available food services for students whose classes are primarily at the DMC.

“For weeks, months and years, students at the DMC have demanded food that doesn’t come out of a vending machine, and it’s finally, almost happening,” said Dhimant Rao, a fourth-year Motion Media student.

On the food truck’s first visit May 3, there were mostly salads and sandwiches and on May 10, they introduced beverages and chips in response to student feedback. So far, the response from students has been positive and enthusiastic. Many hope that this will remain a permanent amenity at the DMC.

“It’s great that they accept SCAD Cash, meal plans and dining dollars with this service,” said Natasha Chandel, a third-year animation student. “I’m happy to not walk all the way to the main building.”

The SCAD Atlanta United Student Forum (USF) is currently taking feedback regarding the food truck services. If you have suggestions or ideas about anything related to this service, please email atlusf@student.scad.edu.
