With the abundance of retro-styled blogs and sites like Etsy, which sells only handmade and vintage items, the vintage craze has certainly taken a hold of fashion. Many great vintage shops are located just minutes from SCAD Atlanta. Here are some of the best vintage stores around:

Lucky Exchange $$

The little shop by Papi’s houses an array of vintage goodies. When you first walk in, the left side is lined with sweet vintage dresses, in order of cut and color. Three-fourths of the store is dedicated to women’s apparel, but the men have a good selection as well. The prices are so good for what you’re getting, it almost seems like a steal.

Rag-O-Rama $$

Nestled on the outer edge of Little Five Points, Rag-O-Rama is a mega house of vintage finds. Probably the largest store of the ones listed, the left side of the store is dedicated to women, and the right side is strictly for men. Vintage shoes top the round racks that stand in the center of the floor. The variety is endless, and there is sure to be something there for everyone.

One of the few vintage stores to carry children’s clothing, the Clothing Warehouse has two large bins sit at the front of the store filled with dresses and tops for tots. Grown-ups can have fun there too. The men’s section is larger in comparison to the Lucky Exchange. Grab a pair of fun cowboy boots or one of their many dresses.

While the other vintage shops focus on more casual daywear, Stefan’s Vintage Clothing shines in their glamorous formal wear. They do offer casual options, but if you’re looking for something special for your next event, Stefan’s is sure to have something to satiate your vintage-loving appetite. Bonus: they sell super cute swimsuits.

You can’t forget the king of vintage stores. While the aroma is sometimes less than pleasant, there’s something rewarding about snatching up a great find on your own. All Goodwill atores organize by color, so be prepared to be there for a while. These may seem like a lot of cons, but most, if not all the clothes found at Goodwill, are sure to be less than $10.
