Dressing for college is an entirely different venture than dressing for high school. Some schools had required uniforms or at least a heinous dress code. Being in college there is virtually no dress code. It seem that as long as you wear clothes you are in the clear. With the freedom to wear whatever you want, as a senior, I can tell you how hard it is to not fall into the trap of wearing PINK sweatpants and hoodies to class everyday.

To try and combat the inner battle of laziness versus fashion, my go-to staples for the first week of fall quarter include a cute ankle boot or sandal and something that shows off your summer tan such as a romper or skirt. As a seasoned professional in “keeping it cute” for the first week of school, here are a few looks to inspire your first week ensembles.

I hope these outfit picks for the first week inspired you to ditch the “lazy-wear” and come to school with your best “looks” forward.
