Located in Atlanta’s Historic Arts District, Castleberry Hill is full of creativity, as evidenced by its 2nd Friday ArtStroll.
The event, which takes place the second Friday of each month, features art, music and theatrics from local artists and galleries — all sprinkled throughout the neighborhood.
“Pretty insane what some of these artists come up with in these exhibits,” said David lanham, a second-year printmaking student at SCAD.
“It’s like walking into a whole different world,” Alex Malone, a second-year SCAD graphic design student said of the ArtStroll.
Current and former SCAD students have been among the artists invited to exhibit their work in various galleries along the stroll. Students use the opportunity to connect with other students and local artists.
Some of this next art stroll’s participating galleries include Art Trifecta and Besharat Gallery. Many of the local businesses also feature artists’ works inside their store.
Brett Callero, a professor of 2-D design at SCAD said the ArtStoll is a “great way for students to get exposed to the art world and draw inspiration from it.”
The next 2nd Friday ArtStroll is March 12 from 7-10 p.m.
