SOHO, Meatpacking, Lexington Avenue, 34th Street, Madison Avenue, Upper West Side, Fifth Avenue, Bleecker Street! With over 1000 stores stretched across five boroughs, how is one to plan a fashionable night out and hit the best parties in six hours? After a long afternoon of fabulous shows in Damrosch Park at Lincoln Center, the crowds freshened up and hit the streets of New York for a night of fashion that easily could have been mistaken for New Year’s Eve!
Lines began forming outside of Bergdorf Goodman as early as 4 p.m. Guests caught glimpses of Catherine Maladrino, Mary J. Blige, Monique Lhuillier, James Mischka, Mark Badgley, Lela Rose, Thakoon Panichgul, Jason Wu, Thom Browne, Narciso Rodriguez, Naeem Khan, Peter Som, Tom Ford, Victoria Beckham and Brian Atwood. Bergdorf’s held a beauty contest, canine companion catwalks, exclusive Fashion Night Out t-shirts were signed and sold and the night ended with a memorable karaoke party.
In SOHO, fashionistas mingled with Andre Leon Talley, Janelle Monae, Jessica Alba, Gwen Stefani, Scarlett Johansson, Tim Gunn, Pharrell Williams, Kanye West and Chris Brown. Shoppers received many free gifts, sipped signature cocktails, watched cabaret shows and smiled for portraits, all while listening to special DJs. Over in the Meatpacking district, shoppers hung out with Jason Wu, Christina Ricci and Selma Blair while browsing limited-edition fashions from Christian Louboutin, Jeffrey’s and Alexander McQueen. This fashionista spent the night on Fifth Avenue in Henri Bendel, Louiv Vuitton, YSL with Karl Lagerfeld at Chanel and in Gucci with Mary J. Blige and The Dream.
