A cool, new yogurt place has opened in the Toco Hills Promenade shopping center off of North Druid Hills Road. Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, a franchise out of California, is a self-serve frozen yogurt restaurant with eclectic flavors and “every topping under the sun,” as stated on their website. The chain has already opened four Atlanta locations and plans to open six more by the end of 2010. Menchie’s lets customers create their own unique yogurt masterpieces, charging by the weight of the yogurt and toppings. Without having set prices and sizes, customers are free to add whatever they want to their bowls.
The bright fuschia and acid green interior gives a pop style to the shop, and the teenage staff welcome customers cheerily. Large paper bowls sit on the counter waiting to be filled, as well as thimble-sized paper cups for sampling. There are no limits on sampling the different yogurt flavors, so customers won’t miss out on anything. Flavors include cake batter, red velvet, strawberry banana and peach, as well as many others. The wide array of toppings includes various candies, crushed candy bars and sauces.
Copious seating is available inside and outside of the store. Menchie’s even has a private room for parties. With so many flavors, toppings and friendly accommodations, this yogurt shop has a lot to offer.
