Samosas, japchea, kebobs, hummus, akara and bulgogi were a few of the many options available at the “Taste of the World” Food Festival held at SCAD Savannah on Nov 5. Over 20 countries were represented, including Korea, Nigeria and India. The International Student Services Office (ISSO) organized the event, which featured music, cultural dances and over 50 unique dishes.
The festival started off with live reggae music while students enjoyed the diverse cuisine. SCAD students performed, followed by the traditional West African dance of the Ayoluwa African Dance Theatre.
The ISSO arranged travel to Savannah so SCAD Atlanta students could attend. All students and other guests were able to experience firsthand the richness and diversity of the SCAD community.
