DS Waters of America, Inc. Graphic Design Internship Program

DS Waters is a leader in home and office water delivery. Created in 2003, DS Waters is home to seven bottled water delivery brands; Alhambra®, Belmont Springs®, Crystal Springs®, Hinckley Springs®, Kentwood Springs®, Sierra Springs® and Sparkletts®. We are looking for a part-time intern to assist us with the hundreds of creative projects including everything from print ad campaigns to online banner ads as well as billing inserts and outdoor graphics.  This is an opportunity to get real-world experience for a corporate, in-house creative team, supporting branches all over the U.S.  We offer the intern an opportunity to develop and gain practical experience that would be impossible to teach in the classroom. The intern has a responsibility to be as helpful and productive as possible to DS Waters headquarters and its branches. This includes dependability, punctuality, and overall commitment to the organization. In turn, DS Waters is fully committed to help the intern develop a professional approach to work, portfolio samples, and a knowledge of the client-based work process.
The intern should have:
• strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs
• strong knowledge of typography and layout principles
• good organizational skills
• good time-management skills
• the ability to work in a team-based and cooperative environment
The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• designing print materials
• website updates & developments
• brand development
• competitive research and review of promotional strategies
• participation in brain storming sessions and meetings
• any other administrative tasks that may arise
For this internship, the intern is required to work between 15 -20 hours a week. The hours are at the discretion of the intern and the supervisor.
DS Waters will cooperate with the intern’s university in meeting internship requirements.
NOTE: This internship provides a $100 per week stipend. This is a possible long-term internship opportunity. Dress code is professional casual.

Motion Graphics Artist/Designer
This position is Contract based in Atlanta Georgia.
The position requires working with the three squared Creative Directors and Art Directors to create imagery that best fits within the client’s specifications and best fits their expectations, ensuring that the Creative Director’s vision, quality bar, design concept, and directives are maintained and consistent through all design and conceptual work. To provide constant feedback to team members while always working in a collaborative mindset.
You will be involved in all phases of the design process, including concept development, storyboarding, animation, graphic design, and production. The works we create vary greatly in mediums and types including Internet video, commercials, animated shorts, trailers, product demos and post-production. To work with the Creative Directors and Art Directors to develop and create the design concept, style, and quality bar required for the production, and working within the schedule and budget.
· To build strong communication and consistency across the creative department, aiming at creating a strong, inspiring, and productive team atmosphere.
Duties and Responsibilities
Experience as a Motion Graphics Artist and Designer – skilled in the use of the Adobe suite (specifically After Effects) of tools, with knowledge of Shake, Nuke, Final Cut Pro and Maya a plus.
You must understand the art of telling a story and conveying a message by combining motion graphics, video and music.
To design and build compelling high quality animations and video productions
Using conceptual and design skills to bring ideas to life
Shaping the details of motion projects by providing cutting edge techniques and technologies
Education: MS/BA/BFA Degree in Fine Arts or Commercial Arts Field.
A strong understanding of design trends
· Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and multi-tasking skills. Must easily collaborate and be team focused.
· Proven abilities in conceptualizing, organizing, and managing projects from concept to completion.
· Ability to create a positive, productive, and exciting work environment through his/her own ability to inspire others.

Wanted: Intern, Video Director / Editor
D5M, LLC, is a music, media, management and marketing company representing emerging and established musicians, producers and performers within and around the Atlanta arts community. We are looking for an impassioned, high-caliber video director and editor to intern with us. Tasks include orchestrating the full production of music videos, producing viral Web content and miscellaneous videography needs. Qualifications must include the following: artistic inclinations, Final Cut Pro fluency and working knowledge of a Canon 5D Mark II (provided) or similar equipment you own. There is the potential for employment afterward, and past videographers have gone on to work with serious talent in the area. ShopSCAD Entries
SCAD is accepting submissions from students, alumni, faculty and staff members for shopSCAD, committed solely to the sale and exhibition of SCAD-related art and designs. Submissions may be made by mail, e-mail or appointment. Artists are encouraged to provide samples or provide images via CD, JPGs or photographs (no slides). Include information concerning size, materials, prices and contact information. Resumes and biographies are helpful but not required. Designers sought for logo competition
Working Class Studio, SCAD’s product development venture, is seeking talented designers to assist with a prestigious corporate logo design competition. Interested participants are invited to submit three to five samples of previously developed logo designs for review.
