Jason Livingston (center) perfects his eye make-up as he transforms into J’Licious during The Armorettes’ “Nursery Crimes” drag performance at The Heretic in Atlanta. The Amorettes are an infamous drag troupe in Atlanta. With eight outrageous, glamorous performances, including a duet with J’Licious and Lucy Bowels, the dynamic group raised $500 for AID Atlanta Gay Outreach Program. AID Atlanta is a non-profit organization focused on reducing new HIV infections and improving the quality of life for its members.
This past January, The Armorettes celebrated 32 years of making audiences laugh at The Heretic and donating their proceeds to HIV/AIDS organizations in the city. The ladies have returned to Burkhart’s in Midtown for performances every Sunday and twice monthly at The Heretic.
