Zombies have been a popular part of fiction and ,more specifically, horror stories for generations, but no strong evidence concludes that they exist.
On Saturday, police opened-fire and killed a man that was eating another man’s face. A police officer ordered the man to stop numerous times. The man turned towards the officer and growled then continued eating the victim.
The Boston Herald reported that a roadside assistance truck was the first to the scene. The truck driver saw a naked man eating another man’s face. The driver tried to stop the man by making an announcement through his loud speaker. When the speaker attempt failed, bystanders hurried to find a local police officer.
Witness Larry Vega told a CNN affiliate, “The guy was tearing him to pieces with his mouth. I told him to get off. The guy just kept eating the other guy away, like ripping off his skin.
“It was just a blob of blood. You couldn’t really see. It was just blood all over the place.”
When the police officer arrived at the scene, he was startled and quickly drew his weapon.
Armando Aguilar, head of the local chapter of Fraternal Order of Police, told the Miami Herald, “The officer saw what the man was doing and ordered him to stop. The man growled at the officer and continued eating the victim’s face. “The man ate the victim’s nose and eyeballs.”
The victim survived. He was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries. Speculations suggest that the victim was homeless. It is believed that the man was sleeping on the ground when he was attacked.
Javier Ortiz, spokesman for Miami’s Fraternal Order of Police, said, “The officer who fired the fatal shots was a hero. Based on the information provided, our Miami police officer is a hero and saved a life.”
Authorities believe the attacker was under the influence of “bath salt” – a drug with LSD-like symptoms.
