On June 9, nearly 50,000 Atlantans gathered on 10th Street at Piedmont Park for the 2012 Red Bull Soapbox Race. 36 teams competed in their creatively-designed soapbox racers for both the fastest finish as well as a People’s Choice Award. The SweetWater Brewing Co.’s Flying Fish brought home the honors as the 2012 Atlanta Soapbox champion while the hearts of fans were won by the Atlanta Rollergirls Racing Devils for the People’s Choice Award.
