This series of photographs is about facing and overcoming your fears. In times when you feel surrounded by darkness and can see no light, a choice has to be made: You can let your fears destroy you or take a step out of the darkness into the unknown. You must dig deep within yourself to unearth the answers. Finding the strength to persevere in the midst of tragedy involves great courage and accepting your vulnerabilities. Believe in yourself, no matter the circumstances, and you just might fly, leaving your fears in the dust. This selection is from my “Beautiful Tragedy” series. They were photographed in Cuervo, N.M. with a Canon 5D. I used Photoshop and Nik Software for post-processing.
