Imagine Music Festival takes over Historic Fourth Ward Park
Summer break is drawing to a close but there are a few more chances to go out with a bang before classes resume in September. Imagine Music Festival, brought to us by award-winning promoter Iris Presents, Inc. (IRIS), will be taking over the Historic Fourth Ward Park, Masquerade Music Park and Clear Creek Basin on Aug. 30 and Aug. 31 to deliver world-class electronic music acts and performances from circus-style acts.
Across the 17-acre site, there will be the usual suspects: three stages and a plethora of food and drink vendors, merchandise stores, resting areas and free water stations. However, this won’t be your typical “shuffle from stage to stage while grabbing food while you can” kind of affair. Imagine is aimed to be a “360-degree experience” in an imaginary world with amazing lighting designs and spectacular interactive experiences. There will even be water features throughout the area, possibly another hint at a fantastical nautical world theme if their poster is any indication. But the biggest draw will be the top-notch and eclectic EDM lineup at Imagine.
Their official lineup was finalized with Seven Lions as the headline act and included Adventure Club, Destroid and Fedde Le Grand. Some of the other EDM acts in the lineup are AraabMuzik, Minnesota, Sky Blu of LMFAO, Shwayze, Aphrodite, Dieselboy, Infected Mushroom, Rusko, Beats Antique, Paper Diamond, Shpongle, Emancipator Ensemble, Megan James or Purity Ring, Pretty Lights Music Label Block, Neon Indian and RJD2.
The entire list of artists that will be at Imagine Music Festival 2014 are found on their official website. Tickets are on sale now. Box office hours are 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Gates will open at 11 a.m. each day. The festival hours will be 12 p.m. – 11 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, with two official after parties at The Masquerade and The Irish a.k.a Rush Lounge.
Be advised that this is an 18+ music festival and only those with valid IDs are allowed in with their tickets. No ID? No go. It’s also rain-or-shine (the show must go on!). So if you’re an EDM lover or avid music festival goer, Imagine Music Festival is an excellent synthesized note to end your summer on this coming Labor Day Weekend.
