Calling all artists: Broadway Bound Atlanta Arts Competition
Broadway in Atlanta and the Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces are searching for a commemorative art piece to represent the 2014-2015 Atlanta Broadway season. This year’s performance line-up consists of nine musicals ranging from “The Little Mermaid” to “Motown: The Musical.” Artists have until Sept. 15 (better clear your weekend schedule) to submit a single piece that captures the spirit of the selected shows, the Fox Theatre and the city of Atlanta.
“We’re proud to support the community by showcasing the area’s talented local artists,” says Russ Belin, the Vice President of Broadway in Atlanta. “We can’t wait to see the artistic interpretations of the Broadway in Atlanta series at the Fox Theatre.”
After the submission deadline, a group of judges will vote on the top entries. Those pieces will then be voted on by the public and a winner will be selected in November.
