Stay safe with self-defense training
Join Decatur Marital Arts for a two-hour dynamic self-defense class for women on Friday, Oct. 16 from 10 a.m. to noon in the Fitness Center. Students will learn what to pay attention to in their surroundings for maximum safety, as well as strikes and releases that are pertinent in allowing vital seconds to flee or escape.
Winter quarter registration is coming
Registration for winter quarter courses will begin on Oct. 19 and last through Oct. 30 as follows:
• Monday, Oct. 19: Pre-registration and e-Learning registration open
• Tuesday, Oct. 20: Graduate student registration opens
• Thursday, Oct. 22: Senior registration opens
• Monday, Oct. 26: Junior registration opens
• Wednesday, Oct. 28: Sophomore registration opens• Friday, Oct. 30: Freshman registration opens
Winter quarter tuition is due Tuesday, Dec. 1. For all registration times, check your individual time ticket. For more information or questions, email atl_advise@scad.edu.
SCAD HireWire to connect students, alumni and employers
Connect with more than 30 employers around the world through virtual presentations accompanied by a live question-and-answer session. Employers will virtually present internship and job opportunities. Students and alumni can attend the live-streaming presentations at the SCAD Museum of Art in Savannah, Georgia, or watch live via SCAD Connect.
SCAD students and alumni are required to log in to the SCAD Job Portal to RSVP to attend the event in person and to access the virtual sessions through the SCAD Connect links.
This event, presented by the office for career and alumni success, is free and open to SCAD students and alumni.
