Conversation with Jonathan Becker and Bob Colacello
Join a public dialogue between acclaimed photographer Jonathan Becker and Bob Colacello, the former editor of Interview magazine and frequent contributor to Vanity Fair, on Wednesday, Jan. 20 from 7-8 p.m. at SCADshow. The event celebrates the SCAD FASH premiere of “A Fashionable Mind: Photographs by Jonathan Becker,” the artist’s first solo exhibition in more than 30 years and his first museum retrospective. The evening provides a unique opportunity to learn about Becker’s significant contributions to contemporary photography through his portraiture of diverse human experiences. Jonathan Becker and Daniel Lismore exhibitions at SCAD FASH
Two new exhibitions will open at SCAD FASH on Friday, Jan. 22. “A Fashionable Mind: Photographs by Jonathan Becker,” a selection of fashion photographs curated by André Leon Talley, includes more than 60 photographs showcasing Becker’s significant contributions to contemporary photography.
“Daniel Lismore: Be Yourself; Everyone Else is Already Taken,” is the first exhibition of London-based artist, stylist and designer Lismore in the United States. Curated by SCAD director of fashion exhibitions Rafael Gomes, “Be Yourself; Everyone Else Is Already Taken” features 30 ensembles styled by Lismore exclusively for SCAD FASH from among hundreds of items on loan from Lismore’s extensive personal wardrobe.

Leah Hunter: Future Hunting
Join us at SCADshow on Tuesday, Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. for a special evening with Leah Hunter. Leah Hunter writes about the human side of tech for Fast Company. She is currently writing a book and multi-media video/audio series entitled The Future Hunter. Volume 1 will be released in January 2016. Hunter has spent her career exploring the intersection of technology, culture, and design. She also writes forBusiness Punk magazine, is the co-creator of the Design of Wearables series for California College of the Arts, was the editor of MISC Magazine, and is the former AVP of Innovation at Idea Couture. Celebrate the creativity of game development at the annual Global Game Jam
Collaborate with SCAD students, industry professionals and students from other schools for 48 hours of intense game design and development. Global Game Jam, the world’s largest game creation event, starts 5 p.m., Friday, Jan. 29, and ends 5 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 31, but participants can come and go as they please. Pick your dream team in advance or meet new people once you arrive. This event is sponsored by Cartoon Network Digital, Microsoft, Epic Games, Unity and Hi-Rez Studios.
