Black Students Association hosts Black History Month Music events
The Black Students Association will celebrate Black History Month with events on Wednesday, Feb. 22. First, the association will host a listener’s lounge featuring prominent black artists in the Hub lounge area from 6-8 p.m. Then, join students for a roundtable discussion on black music and influences from 8-9 p.m. in the California Room. ‘Embrace the Shake’ lecture by Phil Hansen
SCAD Atlanta will host a lecture by Phil Hansen titled “Embrace the Shake: Transforming Limitations into Opportunities” on Tuesday, February 28 at 7 p.m. at SCADshow. For the tens of millions who have seen Hansen’s art on TV and online, it’s hard to imagine that his artistic journey nearly came to an end when a tremor developed in his drawing hand.
