Experience ‘Shoes: Pleasure and Pain’ at SCAD FASH
Explore the creativity, cultural significance and transformative power of footwear at this exhibition presented by SCAD FASH and the Victoria and Albert Museum, at the opening receptions on Thursday, April 13. Members are invited from 6-7 p.m. and the reception will be open to the public from 7-8 pm. The exhibition will run through Aug. 13. With more than 200 pairs of shoes, the exhibition features everything from ancient Egyptian slippers to the signature red soles of Louboutin heels to David Beckham’s soccer cleats and more. Celebrate Earth Day at SCAD Atlanta
Student Activities Council and student organizations will present two events to celebrate Earth Day: the annual Flower Power Ball on Thursday, April 20 at 7 p.m. at SCADpad and the annual Footprint Earth Day Celebration on Friday, April 21 from noon-4 p.m. at SCADpad. Appreciate the treasures of our planet with fun, dancing, games, workshops, demonstrations and more at these two events.
