Photographer of the Week: Kenedee Hodges
The Connector recognizes exemplary photo work produced by SCAD students. This week’s featured photographer is Kenedee Hodges, a second-year photography student from Atlanta.
Artist statement:
I started shooting when I was eight using a Samsung flip phone with a keyboard. My mom gassed me up and encouraged me to do photography. My work has some planning, but things tend to derail and go freely as they happen. I love to make images that mix a bunch of things I love together to make something that pleases me perfectly. I think that I make my work more for myself at first, then later I realize it can benefit others. I use a concept, but I usually don’t come up with titles until later on. The purpose is sometimes to convey and sort through things that may have been traumatic or any experience in general.
