“Tell Me More”

Of things dreamt by angels,

of those things too beautiful to understand,

of memories that are forgotten.

Tell me of those things that shine brighter than the stars in your eyes,

of things that make you feel whole,

of a love that conquers all.

“And the Sunset…”

And the sunset, and the wind blew,

and the creatures nestled their young, and babies cried,

and the dark sky came, and the innocence passed,

and the moon shuttered with paleness,

and the lovers loved, and the stars sung soprano,

and all the forgiven became sinners again,

and hearts were mended, just to be broken again soon over a new love,

and God in all his glory dosed lightly in his throne,

and for just a moment, the whole world ran free,

and the end was near, and hope was hard to reach,

and the night, all the while, longed for day…

“Sweet Dreams”

As the moon creeps out from its haven of day,

the stars begin their choir of greatness.

This is when time lets go and bliss grabs ahold of all that you are.

The moon shines like eyes full of love and tears down all the regrets

and mistakes, and unkind words of the day.

I lay beside you and smile, wondering what dreams float

through your mind, and if maybe, by some chance,

I might appear as at least a thought, in the briefest of moments.

“Haiku”

Your words touch my heart,

that’s broken, in a simple

way, no doctor could.
