Euphoric Emptiness (Part 2) by Manav Chordia

Stranger Things

During the day, I see you here

And at night in my dreams

I miss your sight, I miss your noise

I want you here! I need you here!

I know that an ‘us’ is nothing but a dream

But how can I not hear your voice!

I guess I know I’m damned to hell

But my angel. Are you,

Falling in love with me?

Is it a sin, or just not your fate?

I cry every night to keep you well

Is your love existent? Or rather true?

I cannot, I would not leave you be

Unless my love didn’t trump your hate

I truly do hope you love me,

I’ve wanted you and only you.

But if this isn’t meant to be,

I must color my skies a darker shade of blue.

Storm-a-brewing

Boy. Pinch me back to reality.

Punch me back to sanity.

Lunge onto the rocks and duck under the clouds,

Cause rain falls

But dreams shatter.

 Innocence

My heart feels your pain,

Always here to hear your voice.

Jumping around, being insane,

Almighty bless your heart and your choice;

Remember I’d be here for you again.

Mermaids and Dream catchers.

Guys like to dream,

Of birds, bees and beams;

Of all things untrue, I’d still want you.

Graduate

Good grief! The end is here.

Retrieving my deepest fears.

Auditioning for a lead.

Destroying my heart’s plead.

Under the skies, I blink

Admiring this suit merely to think

Thirteen cards in a deck.

In each a path to check,

Offering flights to sea,

Never to change but just be.

Dearest, today we create history.

All to remember one thing

You are the future.
