The Connector recognizes exemplary film work done by SCAD students. This week’s featured film is “Maach Bhaajaa” by graduate film and television student Megha Bhaduri.
The Connector: Tell us about yourself and your work.
Bhaduri: I’m an award-winning filmmaker from India currently pursuing my M.F.A. in film and television. My body of work includes documentaries, scripts and fiction films. My previous work has been screened internationally in Germany and Spain.
My areas of interest include writing for film and TV, content development and working with tribal and indigenous communities in India. I also meander in non-fiction writing and producing. I have worked in the field of advertising, environmental filmmaking, content development and literary acquisitions for a leading production house in Mumbai, India.
“Maach Bhaajaa” revolves around the lives of Kamini and Badol, the lower, working class community of Kolkata and how relationships change over time.
