Euphoric Emptiness (Part 3) by Manav Chordia

Engulfment

So, I figure here’s the end

Eleven days after the new year

Limits and lies in thy fend

Fighting my light is to fear

Hear hear, I say to you

Assaulting my heart straight through

There is nothing better than love

“Really?” you ask and, I, say nothing true …

Either a red horse or a white dove;

Didn’t know my dearest but I chose you!

Deceptive Lies

Please give up on this fight.

O’ dearest, are you alright,

Entangled in your web of lies!

I couldn’t believe my ears or my eyes.

I merely hope it doesn’t come back to bite.

Cloudy

Reality taps my shoulders

Announcing its hearty arrival

Hurting my chest and back

Unhanding my boulders

Leaching my husband’s survival

Vile creations hiding his track

I wish I could guide him

Just enough so he could be

alive or dead, however he liked

You’re my truest love.

And shall remain my best friend.

Kind strangers call us dim

Under the bright stars beside the sea

My heartbeat spiked.

Ah. This hurt me. O’ love …

Remember you I shall, till the end.

Last night

Nightfall is a place I’d avoid.

Alcohol serves as my sole savior,

Oppressing and defeating my existence.

Mistakes surface my wicked identity.

Indefinitely I’ll try to be sober.

Labels

He opened the possibility of what love without labels can be.

> Getting high

> Getting off.

Hurdles

Stories are an escape

Nights are a Showtime

Enemies are temporary

Hugs are precious but,

Arrogantly we aren’t forever.

Lies and Deceit

Facade put up to conceal,

Alimonies and heartbreaks,

Men or women alike.

Infidelity leads to reel,

Loneliness and lethargy

You, my dearest are the worst!

Newer times don’t bring happiness

Even the dead make you cry

Vengeance is crucial as

Evolution is naught but a lie

Reason and logic hide within.

Seasonal paradise is a joke

Tickles don’t make me laugh.

Irrational is my existence,

Clueless, my aspirations.

Kindly stay away from toxins,

Such as myself and my mind.

Safari

Hopelessly in love

Under the white dove

Sleeping with your laugh

Bleeding my heart out

Aspiring to be your half

Needless to tell you about

Death, my only true friend.

Should you bother about my end?

Broken hints of reality

Rarely, I have ever seen.

Earth go silent or blue,

Jungles burning or Ice melting

Excluding the dark broken members

Can I believe you anymore?

Thanks for nothing, I guess.

Except the misery and humiliation,

Death loves me better than you, but I’d still choose you!
