They are a foray into the duality of life during the 1920s and ’30s, during a time that was widely considered to be a boom in America. We witness the reality of someone dreaming for a better life and looking for an opportunity to move up in the world. Many women faced this emotional struggle — especially as they now had the ability vote. The images explore a world changing and blossoming with new opportunities for anyone willing to work hard and take it.
