On Sunday, Atlanta celebrated its 48th Pride weekend with the people of the LGBTQ+ community. The parade consisted of an array of people, communities, corporations, hotels, political candidates, churches and other classifications. Even with the rain pouring down on the people, the parade marched through the streets of Atlanta with pride and confidence in their own truth.
This was a day of celebration and cheer, with people lined up by the barricades to contribute to the crowds was an inviting experience. People of all sizes, colors, orientations and communities had the opportunity to stand in unison and enjoy this communal gathering. With cold winds blows with the rain, the parade hadn’t slowed down because of it. One of the initial floats had Atlanta Mayor, Keisha Bottom and Stacy Abrams, the Grand Marshal of the Atlanta Pride Parade.
