Trying to find new and exciting things to do around Atlanta can be tough sometimes, especially as a college student since you’re busy almost, if not 24/7. But not to worry! Here’s a sensational event that can make taking a break worth it.
Experience Cirque Du Soleil: VOLTA — an urban and energetic acrobatics tour show, currently in Atlanta until Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020.
VOLTA carries you through a journey of self-discovery and transformation, all while exposing you to the culture of street sports. In addition to this, according to their website, “[VOLTA] is about being true to oneself, fulfilling one’s true potential, and recognizing one’s own power to make it possible. Ultimate freedom comes with self-acceptance, and with the liberation of the judgement of others.”
So grab your friends and go see this performance at Under the Big Top in Atlantic Station — just a 5-10 minute drive from SCAD’s main building. You may even learn a thing or two on self-transformation or it may give you some inspiration for your next project!
Ticket prices start at $49 plus any applicable fees, however the cost does vary depending on your seat location. You can purchase your tickets online here.
There is usually either one or two shows each day, and the starting time for each performance ranges between 1:30 p.m. and 8 p.m., giving you a lot of flexibility to decide on the perfect date and time to go.
Winter break is right around the corner, so head down to Atlantic Station and take advantage of your free time and enjoy the experience.
