Navigate the U.S. job market with SCAD’s ISSO
It can be quite confusing when trying to understand how the United States job market works for international students. Different procedures must be followed in order to be approved to work here and sometimes this can all get overwhelming when doing this alone.
As an international student myself, I can definitely say that this event is very important for foreign students who aren’t quite sure what’s next for them in terms of their career, or even how to legally apply for a job or internship. I get pretty confused and anxious when it comes to all of this, and I know I’m not alone.
Fortunately, SCAD’s International Student Service Office (ISSO), Career and Alumni Success (CAS), communication coaches and others are all teaming up to bring students a new signature event – a two-part series called, “Navigating the U.S. job market.”
Here, international students will learn everything that is needed to know about applying for internships or jobs in the U.S. and are taught how to work their way through the challenges.
Part 1:
This event is taking place at the DMC theater, Friday, Jan. 31, from noon to 4 p.m.
Part 2:
This event will be announced in the Spring quarter.
