Don’t miss this spectacular bronze pour by Cynthia Gutierréz
This Tuesday, Feb. 18 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Cynthia Gutierréz will visit SCAD’s ACA sculpture studio to perform a fiery bronze pour. This is where molten metal is poured into molds to then be transformed into a bronze sculpture.
She will speak about her work, together with this project created in association with SCAD sculpture students. However, visitors are invited to view this event and learn more about the sculpture and industrial design programs at SCAD.
Gutierréz’s work has been exhibited across the United States, Mexico and Europe – including SCAD’s Museum of Art in Savannah.
This event is free and open to the public. It is presented as part of SCAD deFINE ART 2020, the university’s annual program of exhibitions, lectures, and performances held Feb. 18-20 at locations in Atlanta and Savannah.
