Excitement is in the air and students are buzzing with energy after the release of 2020’s aTVfest schedule, released earlier this week for the upcoming festival.
The festival runs from Thursday, Feb. 27 to Saturday, Feb. 29, and students are invited to see actors, directors, television executives and costume designers speak next week, as they share their professional experiences and possibly advice to students.
The cast of television shows such as “The Resident,” “Mixed-ish,” “Legacies,” “Roswell, New Mexico” and more will be attending, as well as TV executives and producers from NBC, Tyler Perry Studios and ABC network. In addition to this, SCAD has other guest speakers, like Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Hunter Schafer, Karen Gaviola, Numa Perrier, Yara Shahidi and many others coming to converse with students about their professional lives and will be open to answering some questions that students have.
A “SCAD Grads on Television” panel event is happening, where SCAD alumni — who have also gone through the trials and hardships of being a student artist — will be joining current students to discuss where they are now and their success on television and offer advice to the audience.
These different panels and screenings will be taking place at SCADshow.
