SCAD Connector placed 1st in four categories for the College Media Association Pinnacle Awards

Congratulations to SCAD Atlanta’s student media team, the SCAD Connector! Members of the team have been chosen as finalists for six categories in the College Media Association Pinnacle Awards, where four have been awarded first place! Check out the list of student finalists and winners, together with the category they won, below.
- Feature Page/Spread – First place, Roberta Nicastro and Koby Griggs (“Coding: The Renaissance of Language,” SCAN Spring 2020 issue)
- Editorial Illustration – First place, Krista Knudtsen (“Alice in Wonderland,” The Connector Oct. 11. 2019)
- Best Portrait – First place, Conrad Maxwell-Girod (“Embellished (Vanessa)”, SCAN Spring 2020 issue)
- Best Arts and Entertainment Story – First place, Mikael Trench (“‘Joker’ vs. ‘Taxi Driver’: The Art of the Isolated Archetype,” SCAN Winter 2020 issue)
- Infographic – Second place, Roberta Nicastro and Krista Knudsten (“Pay Loans with Limbs,” SCAN Winter 2020 issue)
- Entertainment Page/Spread – Honorable mention, Roberta Nicastro and Samuel Ditmars (“Filling Your Soul,” SCAN Winter 2020 issue)
These SCAD students were in competition with other colleges within the country and were awarded greatly thanks to their unique skills and talent. Congratulations again to these SCAD students, and to the SCAD Connector!
