1600 Woodshop Certification Demonstration
Students will be shown how to safely operate the 1600 Woodshop equipment. The miter saw, band saw, panel saw, sanders, and some hand tools will be covered. After attending the demonstration and completing the online written test, students will be certified to use the 1600 Woodshop.

CLO 3D Design Software Master Class with Christina Yother (Advanced Techniques)
Designer Christina Yother shares her strategies and techniques with using CLO 3D design software for fashion design. Christina graduated from SCAD in 2017 and is currently an Associate Designer with Carter’s, Inc.

Fashion Illustration
Designing without drawing is often compared to having an idea without a voice. Learn the fundamentals of fashion sketching by exploring the basics of human anatomy. Understand and recognize the importance of angles, weight and balance of poses to create an initial croquis drawing. Define silhouettes and add details by rendering with a variety of materials. This workshop will enable you to free your imagination and bring your ideas to life.

Laser Cutter Certification Demonstration
Students will learn the difference between raster engraving and vector cutting and how to set Rhino or Illustrator files to achieve their desired results. Multiple examples of laser processed materials will be shown. Materials, submission requirements, and processing times will be covered. After completing the demonstration and signing the processing agreement, students will be certified to use the laser cutter.
