‘OK, so’: A podcast giving hope to artists
“OK, so” is a podcast created by artists that provides hope and inspiration that being an artist is worth it. “OK, so” is here to tell you that it will work out even if you are lost. Roberta Nicastro, recent SCAD grad and SCAN Magazine Art Director, works on the show as the art director and graphic designer.
The team consists of Giovanni Turra, the brilliant and funny host, Iara Faria, the art director and motion media designer, Thang Ho, head of HOCA studios and the video director, and Nicastro.
On each episode, Turra has a professional from almost every creative field answering questions that are on most artist’s minds. The episodes range from 45 minutes to an hour and, honestly, they are the highlight of my week. You can tell that the team takes the time to research the guest’s work and aren’t asking fluff questions.
Without fail, “OK, so” makes you feel better about yourself, even when it is not talking about an industry you are in, even if you aren’t an artist. The podcast brings a little light to our somewhat dim reality.
“OK, so” releases an episode once a week. The show can be found on all podcast streaming platforms. They also have an Instagram and Twitter at @okso_media.
