System of A Down: ‘Protect the Land’/ ‘Genocidal Humanoidz’
System of A Down, the rock band known for hits like “Chop Suey” has released two new songs after 15 years. The group still has their dirty guitar riffs and drum solos, but with a message. Together the two songs tackle politics (American and foreign), war and human rights.
Miley Cyrus ft. Stevie Nicks: ‘Edge of Midnight (Midnight Sky Remix)’
Miley Cyrus released a remix of “Midnight Sky” with Stevie Nicks this past weekend, and it’s giving off classic 80s rock and roll. The two women each have strong vocals, but their combination is magical. After listening, I hope that Cyrus will release a rock album since her voice is made for the genre.
Carly Rae Jepsen: ‘It’s Not Christmas Till Somebody Cries’
A pop singer tries once again to make a new Christmas hit when we already have staple classics. Carly Rae Jepsen, best known for her hit “Call Me Maybe,” released a Christmas song that many will forget or want to forget.
Tierra Whack: ‘Dora’
Tierra Whack’s new single “Dora” is an upbeat and joyful song. The music video is reminiscent of our childhood favorites like “Sesame Street.” I look forward to what Whack releases next. “Dora” is a must-hear.
Maluma ft. The Weeknd: ‘Hawái’
At this point, I do not think Maluma or The Weeknd can release a bad song or remix. Maluma, a reggaeton singer, and R&B artist The Weeknd come together for a remix that will make you dance or cry.
Luke Combs: ‘Forever After All’
Luke Combs, a country singer at the top of his career, released another love song. “Forever After All” will make you cry no matter if you have somebody or not. It has all the elements of southern love: beer, blue jeans and dancing under the moon. Combs knows how to string his lyrics together to make a classic country love song.
