TikTok is an amazing place. Not only does it consume you, educate you but it also makes you buy things you don’t always need. Makeup is one of those things. NYX newest lipstick, SHINE LOUD HIGH SHINE LIP COLOR, claims to be mask-proof.
Read that again: mask-proof. As a makeup lover, this was the best news I‘ve heard in a long time. Lipstick completes a makeup look. It doesn’t matter if you only have lashes on — lipstick is a necessity.
Once COVD-19 introduced itself to the world, lipstick suddenly became a thing of the past, as luscious, glossy lip-looks were just about to make a comeback. I was grateful that many makeup lovers were moving on from the dry and cakey liquid lips.
So makeup lovers had to turn to the one thing we had left — eyeshadow. But once the restaurants were open and the masks came off to eat, we were left with bare lips. A catastrophe. You don’t usually leave the house with a purple smokey eye and chapstick. Thankfully, NYX lipstick is mask proof, budge-proof, vegan and lasts for 16 hours. For these claims, it became popular on TikTok.
I have tried the lipstick and everything they claim is true. Even with the clear gloss on top, which the company has claimed to seal, the lipstick doesn’t transfer like others.
Mask on or mask off, lipstick can be worn again. And I, for one, am grateful for my full face of makeup.
