Photo series: De-masculinizing through street portraits
This photo series is a continuation of the first one, “De-masculinizing through nighttime portraits.” The images are meant to break the status quo representation of masculinity, and showcase that masculinity can take all shapes, colors and forms. The series also serves a sense of pride to break down insecurities with poses that appear to be “too feminine” for men.
What’s important to note about this series is the background the model carries. Benson Georgous is a professional dancer that’s pursuing a modeling career. His poses not only reflect his masculine security, but also important movements that coincide with his dance routines.
All images were taken by the SCAD Atlanta DMC building.
