Drawing with Printmaking: Exploring the Art of the Monoprint
Saturday, April 3, 1-3 p.m.
This workshop is ideal for artists who love to draw and paint. Monoprints incorporate direct drawing and painting techniques, using printmaking as a device to transfer into paper. Students will draw and paint in color with rollers, brushes, and palette knives and explore how to use found materials to create textures that enhance the atmosphere and mood of a picture. We will focus on pulling light out of a dark background as well as working dark on light.
