The world of social media influencers is ever-growing and has become quite saturated over the last couple of years. When looking at the thousands of fashion influencers in the world, I often see great fashion, but it starts to become repetitive and the sense of originality disappears. Social media has also become a pay-to-play world, where numbers and metrics are kings. This often results in emerging creatives slipping through the cracks. Listed below are four emerging fashion influencers that I absolutely love and believe you should follow.
1) Siddharth Batra
Siddharth Batra is an influencer based out of Delhi, India, focused on breaking gender stereotypes in the fashion industry and society as a whole. Members of the LGBTQ+ community do this all the time, but the reason Siddharth is different is that he is a straight, cisgender man in a public relationship with his girlfriend. He just dresses however he likes. He channels the likes of Harry Styles and Jared Leto when it comes to his gender-bending fashion. He challenges the notion of what it means to be a man in today’s society and lets his authentic self shine through. His content includes high-quality Instagram reels and posts.

2) Hamel Patel
Hamel Patel is an Indian fashion influencer based in North Carolina. She specializes in highly luxurious Indian fashion, Indian fashion with western elements, and extremely stylized shoots. The reason I love Patel’s content is because of the amount of work she puts into every shoot. She truly is a “one-man army” because she styles the shoot, builds the set, and takes pictures of herself. I always get inspired by the extravagant sets she creates for her shoots and how she uses Indian fashion to convey a story to her audience. If you don’t follow her for her fashion, follow her for her creative geniuses.

3) Kate Bartlett
Kate is a 20-year-old influencer, based out of New York City where she attends the Fashion Institute of Technology. Her fashion is extremely trendy but in the best way possible. She rocks each trend with her own spice and finesse while showing her daily fashions on Tiktok and Instagram. Her imagery and styling are unique to her and she does an incredible job at consistently disclosing where she gets all of her items from, which is usually Amazon. Erna Leon is a fashion designer, stylist, and content creator based in New York City. Her main focus is on slow fashion and how to be stylish in a more sustainable way. She mainly wears neutral colors and her entire Instagram feed is very methodical and aesthetically pleasing. She has a style that is very put-together, chic, and elegant. She also has a clothing line that champions her values and shows her style. She has a wide range of content, including reels, blog articles, IGTV videos, podcasts, and traditional posts.
