These 3-D models were sculpted by the very talented 3-D animator Eric Gjertson. Gjertson is a third-year technical animation student at SCAD, and he primarily works with 3-D programs to create his masterpieces. This one in particular was created in the digital sculpting program ZBrush.
This model is one of a mech named Eva Unit 1 from the anime “Neon Genesis.” The mech is piloted by one of the main characters of the series, whom Gjertson greatly admires. He has a soft spot for this particular anime due to the themes of finding self-acceptance and gaining maturity, which Gjertson values in his own day-to-day life and his creative journey.
