Tyler The Creator rises above his critics with new album: “Call Me If You Get Lost”
Pop star Tyler the Creator recently released his sixth studio album, “Call Me If You Get Lost”, featuring a long list of artists such as NBA YoungBoy, 42 Dugg, Lil Wayne, Ty Dolla $ign, Brent Fiayaz, Lil Uzi, Dana Hues, DAISY WORLD, Domo Gensis, Pharrell Williams, and Teezo Touchdown. The album is “hosted” by DJ Drama.
This diverse collaboration yields diverse results: every song on “Call Me If You Get Lost” could somewhat resonate with everybody, as opposed to the common practice of catering to one kind of audience. Tyler decided to stretch his vocals and wisdom to reach everybody, especially those that doubted him.
Prior to this project, Tyler the Creator created an alter ego known as Igor. This was a character he portrayed in music videos and stage performances, an act which divides critics: while some found it amazing, some aren’t so impressed. His new album addresses the criticism as well as his past projects, this time with a newfound wisdom for life expressed through the music as well as narrated by DJ Drama. All in all, “Call Me If You Get Lost” is a solid album for all of his fans and soon-to-be supporters.
